Today in class we are going to post a blog entry about how English can help you in your future occupation. If you are not sure what you are going to do for a job one day, you can write about how English will help you in your future in general.
Here is an example:
I want to become a cardio-vascular surgeon, a person who performs heart surgery one day. To accomplish this dream I need to be able to speak English fluently so that I can study at a US university. Right now I am working on improving my English and academic English skills so that I can do well in university. For example some things I am doing to prepare are to read and study articles about the cardio-vascular system and about the medical profession in the United States. In addition I also watch lectures on TED TV and on MIT's website. Hopefully I can soon take the TOEFL and start university in the United States.

I studied marketing and I love it. But if I want to be succesful I need to be able to speak English fluently because is very important to be current with the world of business. For example, I like and enjoy talk in confrences and speaking about new products and new startegies for the company and help to our partners, but some times the partners are form diferent nacionality so I think English is a leguange very popular and the most used for establish conversations between diffrent nationalities.
ReplyDeleteI studied Economic and french itterature I like that and it's really great. But I want a degree to be teacher bu in my small island they dont have a lot of opportunity so i should learn your language to study here and t be a person. I was thinking to get a major in economic in your country then I change idea now so I don't know. And working as a guide tourism they have only one language who an be use is the English language thou,Is really important in my domain to know this language.
